Emma Diamond and Julie Kramer, friends from college, started Comments By Celebs as a hobby in 2017. They figured out how to capture Instagram posts by celebrities that elicited fun comments by other celebrities, then posted the exchange on their own Instagram page.
For example, Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner on the 80s sitcom Full House, recently posted that he now spends his days “cleaning and vacuuming and sanitizing everything in the house. I have become Danny Tanner.” Candace Bure, who played his daughter on Full House, replied, and Comments By Celebs posted:
Ten years ago, celebrities were less accessible – we knew their work, read about them in magazines, and watched interviews on talk shows. Now, through social media, we can have an intimate peek into their lives.
There are a lot of famous people, and a lot of posts on Instagram. Much of Emma and Julie’s time is spent deciding how to curate the content and share posts that will most appeal to their followers. They don’t post any negative or controversial comments, and have become a trusted source for entertainment news.
In a short time, Comments By Celebs has grown from a hobby to serious careers for Emma and Julie. With more than 1.5 million followers and more every day, they’ve become social influencers. In addition, they do a weekly podcast, sell merchandise, and have exciting projects in the works. If you’re interested in pop culture and want to stay in the know, you should follow too.
Finally, for your amusement, here’s a Comments by Celebs favorite: Kelly Ripa posted a photo of herself with her husband, the actor Mark Consuelos. One of Ripa’s Instagram followers criticized Consuelos’ height, and witty rebukes ensued!
